Safety & Discipline

We seem to forget that discipline has worked for all of time. To be clear, punishment and discipline are not the same. One is to prevent wrongful behavior and one is a consequence for your actions. We should return tougher rules and standards back to our school district to bring about well-behaved and successful students in a professional setting.

For some reason in the modern era we have a hard time understanding that we cannot please everyone. When it comes to students who are acting out, such as a student who gets into fights every time they come back from a suspension. We must remove that student from our buildings. We should not tolerate that kind of behavior that threatens the safety of our staff and students. We must make sure respond correctly in a way that will benefit everyone else and not catering to  the needs of the troublemaker.

Currently there is only two resource officers that are assigned to protect our schools. We have four buildings. I would love to see the number of officers increase. Yes, I understand that the levy campaign has also been promoting this if we pass the levy. However, I will still express that our staff and students' security is our top priority.
